Who is Allah?

1: Allah is the most merciful, the most compassionate, the most generous, the self-subsisting, the greatest, the eternal, the all-knowing, the forbearing, and the wise.
2: Allah is the master of masters, the acceptor of prayers, the elevator of ranks, the guardian of good deeds, the forgiver of evil deeds, the granter of requests, the acceptor of repentance, the hearer of voices, the knower of attributes, and the repeller of calamities.
3: Allah is the best of forgivers, deciders, helpers, rulers, providers, inheritors, praisers, rememberers, dischargers, and benefactors.
4: Allah is the one to whom is all glory and virtue, all might and perfection, all dominion and sublimity, and is great above all.
5: Allah is the one who creates heavy clouds, who is the most powerful, who is quick to reckon, who metes out the severest punishment, with whom is the excellent reward, and with whom is the original book.
6: Allah is the charitable, the benefactor, the judge, the proof, the sovereign, the approver, the forgiver, the elevated, the helper, and the holder of blessings and manifestation.
7: Allah is the one before whose greatness everything bows, before whose power everything submits, before whose might everything overshadowed, before whose awesomeness everything is humbled, before whose fearsomeness everything yields, before who mountains shake in terribleness, before whose command the heavens are raised, through whose permission the earths are settled, whose glory the thunder proclaims, and who is never cruel to his subjects.
8: Allah is the forgiver of sins, the dispeller of tribulations, the aim of hopes, the giver of abundant gifts, the bestower of bounties, the provider of creatures, the judge of destinies, the hearer of complaints, the resurrector of creatures, and the freer of captives.
9: Allah is the one to whom is due all praise and adoration, who holds all pride and eminence, who holds all honour and rank, who makes promises and honours them, who pardons and is content, who holds all abundance and provides, who holds decision and judgement, who is glorious and eternal, who is liberal and munificent, and who holds all blessings and bounties.
10: Allah is the elevator of ranks, the fashioner, the benefiter, the hearer, the aggregator, the intercessor, the magnanimous, and the increaser.
11: Allah is the fashioner of every fashioned thing, the creator of every created thing, the provider for every needy thing, the sovereign over all subjects, the dispeller of every hardship, the comforter of every griever, the merciful to every sufferer, the helper of everything forsaken, the concealer of every blemished thing, and the shelter for every exile.
12: Allah is the provider in my hardship, the hope in my misfortune, the companion in my isolation, the friend in my journey, the companion in my blessings, the rescuer from my trials, the guide in my perplexity, the resource in my neediness, the shelter in my helplessness, and the deliverer from my fears.
13: Allah is the knower of the unseen, the forgiver of sins, the concealer of defects, the expeller of pain, the transformer of the hearts, the physician of the hearts, the illuminator of the hearts, the intimate of the hearts, the resolver of worries, and the liberator from grief.
14: Allah is the glorious, the virtuous, the protector, the patron, the guide, the guarantor, the bestower of wealth, the bestower of blessings, the bestower of strength, and the acceptor of repentance.
15: Allah is the guide of the waylaid, the rescuer of those who appeal, the helper of those who call, the aider of those who call, the shelter of the fearful, the succourer of the faithful, the merciful to the indigent, the refuge of the disobedient, the forgiver of the sinner, and the responder to the supplicant.
16: Allah is the master of liberality and beneficence, the most gracious and obliging, the master of peace and security, the most holy and above all defects, the master of wisdom and manifestation, the master of mercy and satisfaction, the master of argument and proof, the master of grandeur and sovereignty, the master of kindness and succour, and the master of pardon and forgiveness.
17: Allah is the lord over all things, the creator of all things, the fashioner of all things, the preceder of all things, the successor of all things, is above all things, who knows all things, is powerful over all things, and is the sustainer and extinguisher of all things.
18: Allah is the securer of safety, the protector, the bestower of being, the bestower of knowledge, the manifester, the facilitator, the provider of place, the adorner, the proclaimer, and the distributor.
19: Allah is the everlasting in his kingdom, the eternal in his sovereignty, the greatest in his grandeur, the most merciful to his servants, the knower of everything, the forbearing to who disobeys him, the magnanimous to who places his hope in him, the wise over what he has fashioned, the one who is subtle in his wisdom, and who is eternal in his kindness.
20: Allah is whose sovereignty alone is eternal, who alone has true majesty, whose blessings extend to all, whose wrath is surpassed by his mercy, whose knowledge encompasses everything, and who is without an equivalent.
21: Allah is the resolver of worries, the expeller of sorrow, the forgiver of sins, the acceptor of repentance, the creator of creatures, the truthful in promises, the fulfiller of promises, the knower of secrets, the splitter of seed, and the provider for creatures.
22: Allah is the high, the perfect, the independent, the rich, the kind, the agreeable, the purifier, the eternal, the mighty, and the friend.
23: Allah is who reveals virtue, who conceals vice, who does not disclose the disgrace of his servants, who is the best forgiver, who overlooks errancy, whose forgiveness extends over all, whose hands are stretched forth in mercy, who knows all secrets, and is to whom all complaints are directed.
24: Allah is the master of countless blessings, the master of limitless mercy, the master surpassing all obligation, the master of perfect wisdom, the master of infinite might, the master of the decisive argument, the master of the manifest miracle, the master of perpetual prestige, the master of great strength, and the master of unsurpassable glory.
25: Allah is the originator of the heavens, the maker of darkness, the merciful to those who weep, the one who oversees slips and errors, the concealer of defects, the reviver of the dead, the revealer of signs, the increaser of virtue, who rubs out vices, and who calls to account.
26: Allah is the fashioner, the preordainer, the planner, the purifier, the illuminator, the facilitator, the giver of promising tidings, the warner, the giver of precedence, and the postponer.
27: Allah is the lord of the sanctuary, the lord of the holy month, the lord of the holy city, the lord of the mashair of Mecca, the lord of the holy mosque, the lord of what is lawful and what is proscribed, the lord of light and darkness, the lord of salutation and peace, and the lord of strength among creatures.
28: Allah is the highest of all authorities, the justest of all the just, the trustworthiest of all the trustworthy, the purest of the pure, the best of creators, the quickest reckoner, the best of listeners, the most vigilant of invigilators, the best of intercessors, and the most honourable of all.
29: Allah is the supporter of the unsupported, the helper of the helpless, the protector of the unprotected, the shield for the defenseless, the hearer of the unheard, the pride of the prideless, the honour of the honourless, the aider of the unaided, the friend of the forsaken, and the shelter of the shelterless.
30: Allah is the protector, the persistent, the eternal, the merciful, the accorder of peace, the omniscient, the distributor, the preventer, and the opener.
31: Allah is the protector of who seeks his protection, the merciful to who requests his mercy, the forgiver of who implores his forgiveness, the helper of who asks for his help, the protector of who seeks his protection, the magnanimous to who seeks his magnanimity, the guide for who seeks his guidance, the aid to who seeks his aid, the helper of who appeals to him, and the rescuer of who appeals to him.
32: Allah the powerful who is never overpowered, the self-subsistent who never sleeps, the eternal who never perishes, the ever-living who never dies, the monarch whose rule is endless, the eternal who is imperishable, the omniscient who never forgets, the independent who needs no sustenance, and the mighty who never weakens.
33: Allah is the unique, the present, the praiser, the exalted, the guide, the resurrector, the heir, the harmful, and the beneficial.
34: Allah is the grandest of all the grand, the most magnanimous of all the magnanimous, the most merciful of all the merciful, the most knowledgeable of all knowers, the most wise of all the wise, the most ancient of all the ancient, the greatest of all the great, the most benign of all the benign, the most magnificent of all the magnificent, and the most mighty of all the mighty.
35: Allah is the most magnanimous in overlooking sins, the greatest benefactor, the most bounteous in goodness, the eternal in grace, the eternal in subtlety, the creator of subtlety, the remover of pain, the healer of injury, the master of dominion, and the true judge.
36: Allah is he who fulfils his promise, who is strong in his fulfillment, who is great in his might, who is near everyone in spite of his greatness, who is benign in his weariness, who is noble in his benignity, who is powerful in his nobility, who is great in his power, who is exalted in his greatness, and who is praiseworthy in his exaltation.
37: Allah is the sufficient, the restorer of health, the faithful, the forgiver, the guide, the summoner, the judge, the agreeable, the high, and the eternal.
38: Allah is before whom everything bows, everything is humbled, everything exists, everything owes its existence, to whom everything returns, from whom everything is afraid, whom everything owes its stability, everything retreats, and before whom everything glorifies with praise.
39: Allah is the best of those who are feared, who are liked, who are sought, who are entreated, who are longed for, who are remembered, whom are thanked, who are loved, who are called on, and who are held in affection.
40: Allah is the forgiver, the concealer of defects, the mighty, the supreme, the creator, the shatterer, the joiner, the rememberer, the seeing, and the helper.
41: Allah is he who created and perfected, who made everything to measure and guided, who removes misfortunes, who overhears secrets, who rescues the drowning, who saves the distressed, who restores the sick to health, who makes his creation laugh and weep, who calls to death and calls to life, and who has created pairs of male and female.
42: Allah is whose course is on land and in water, whose signs are in the universe, whose signs are undeniable proofs, whose might is exhibited in causing death, whose lesson is in graves, whose kingdom will be on the day of judgement, whose reckoning of deeds is his dread, whose balance is his order, whose paradise is the place of reward, and whose hell is the place of chastisement.
43: Allah is to who the frightened flee to, the sinners take shelter with, the repentant return to, the pious incline towards, the confounded seek shelter in, the desirous have affliction for, the lovers are proud of, the transgressors have agreed forgiveness from, faith assured receive consolation from, and who trust him rely on.
44: Allah is the friend, the physician, the near, the supervisor, the reckoner to account, the rewarder, the acceptor, the aware, and the all-seeing.
45: Allah is the nearest of all, the friendliest of all friends, the possessor of greater insight than all others, the most aware of all, the noblest of all nobles, the most exalted of all exalted, the mightiest of all mighty, the most independent of all, the most generous of all, and the kindest of all who are kind.
46: Allah is the dominant who is not overpowered, the designer who is not made, the creator who is not created, the master and not the slave, the all-dominant who is not dominated, the exalter and the exalted, the protector who needs no protection, the helper who needs no help, the witness who is not absent, and the near who is not distant.
47: Allah is the light of lights, the illuminator of light, the creator of light, the planner of light, the estimator of light, the light of all lights, the light that precedes every light, the light that will survive all lights, the light that is above every light, and the light that the likes of there is no lights.
48: Allah is he whose gift is noble, whose action is subtle, whose kindness is persistent, whose beneficence is eternal, whose word is certain, whose promise is true, whose forgiveness is a grace, whose chastisement is justice, whose remembrance is sweet, and whose grace is universal.
49: Allah is the facilitator, the separator, the alterer, the humiliating of the proud, the degrader, the benefactor, the munificent, the giver of respite, the grantor of respite, and the virtuous.
50: Allah is the he who sees yet is unseen, who creates yet is not created, who guides yet is not guided, who brings to life yet is not brought to life, who questions yet is not questioned, who feeds yet is not fed, who gives protection yet is in no need of protection, who judges and beyond whom no judgement is passed, who commands yet is not commanded, and who begets not, nor is begotten.
51: Allah is the best reckoner, the best physician, the best guardian, the best near one, the best responder, the best friend, the best surety, the best protector, the best master, and the best helper.
52: Allah is the desire of friends, the friend of seekers, the friend of penitents, the provider of sustenance to the poor, the hope of sinners, the coolness of worshippers' eyes, the remover of sufferers' pain, the dispeller of the sorrows of the sorrowful, and the god of the first and the last generations.
53: Allah is our lord, our god, our chief, our master, our helper, our protector, our guide, our aider, our friend, and our physician.
54: Allah is the lord of the prophets and the virtuous, of the righteous and chosen one, of paradise and hell, of the small and the great, of grains and fruits, of canals and trees, of forest and desert, of lands and seas, of night and day, and of the manifest and the hidden.
55: Allah is he whose command operates in everything, whose knowledge encompasses everything, whose control extends to everything, whose blessings cannot be counted by his slaves, whom his creatures cannot adequately thank, whose grandeur cannot be comprehended by the intellect, whose reality cannot be acquired by the imagination, whose garb is majesty and greatness, whose judgement cannot be reversed by his slave, who there is no ownership but his own, and there is no giving but his own.
56: Allah is from whom are the noblest examples, who possess the high attributes, who is the master of the beginning and the end, who is the master of the abode of paradise, from whom are great signs, for whom are beautiful names, from whom is order and judgement, who rules over atmosphere and space, who rules over the throne and the sands, and who is the master of the high heavens.
57: Allah is the kind, the sympathetic, the besought, the friend, the most glorified, and the most holy.
58: Allah is whose greatness is in havens, whose signs are on earth, whose proof manifest in everything, whose wonders are in the seas, whose treasures are in the mountains, who originates creation, towards whom is the return of every matter, whose kindness is evident in everything, who perfected everything he created, and whose ability is exerted in his creations.
59: Allah is the friend of who has no friend, the physician of who has no physician, the responder to who has no responder, the affectionate to who has no affectionate, the succorer of who has no succouree, the guide of who has no guide, the associate of the forlorn, the merciful to who has no merciful, and the companion to who has no companion.
60: Allah is the sufficer for those who seek sufficiency, the guide for those who seek guidance, the protector for those who seek protection, the granter for concession to those who seek concession, the healer for those who seek cure, the just for those who seek justice, the bestower of wealth for those who seek wealth, the fulfiller of promises for those who seek fulfillment, the granter of strength for those who seek strength, and the aider of those who seek aid.
61: Allah is the creator, the provider of sustenance, the creator of speech, the truthful, the splitter, the separator, the breaker, the combiner, the foremost, and the most high.
62: Allah is who flips night and day, who has created darkness and light, who has bestowed shade and heat, who has brought into subjection the sun and the moon, who has ordained virtue and vice, who has created life and death, who has made the body and the soul, who has neither taken a wife nor begotten any child, who has no partner in his sovereignty, and who has no friend among the disgraced.
63: Allah is who knows the desire of the desirous, who knows the conscience of the silent, who hears the cries of the weak, who sees the lamentation of the frightened, who satisfies the needs of the petitioner, who accepts the excuse of the repentant, who does not repair the actions of the mischievous, who does not waste the good reward of the virtuous, who is not absent from the mind of the knowledgeable, and the most magnanimous of all those who show magnanimity.
64: Allah is the eternal living, the hearer of prayers, the liberal bestower, the forgiver of sins, the creator of the sky, the best tester of trials, the most praiseworthy, the eternally great, the greatest fulfiller of promises, and the best recompenser.
65: Allah is the best concealer of defects, the best forgiver, the most dominant, the supreme, the most patient, the most virtuous, the most exalted, the best opener, the blower of winds, and the bestower of happiness.
66: Allah is who created me and perfected me, who provided me with sustenance and nurtured me, who provided food for me and quenched my thirst, who brought me near him, who protected me and kept me in safety, who saved and guarded me, who honoured me and enriched me, who helped and guided me, who befriended me and sheltered me, and who causes me to die and revivifies me.
67: Allah is who maintains truth by his words, who accepts repentance from his slaves, who stands between man and his heart, without whose permission intercession does not transpire, who knows well who strayed from his path, whose order no one can reverse, whose judgement no one can revoke, whose order is obeyed by everything, in whose right hand the heavens are folded, and who sends forth the winds bearing good tiding before his mercy.
68: Allah is who has made the sun a lamp, who has made the moon a light, who has made the night coverful, who has made the day for livelihood, who has made sleep restful, who has made the sky a vault, who has created things in pairs, and who has made hell watchfully waiting.
69: Allah is the all-hearer, the mediator, the sublime, the invincible, the swift, the originator, the great, the omnipotent, the knowing, and the supporter.
70: Allah is the everliving preceding every living being, succeeding every living being, like unto whom there is none, who has no living partner, who is not dependent on any living being, who causes every living being to die, who provides sustenance to every living being, who has not inherited life from any living being, who brings life to the dead, and the self-subsistent.
71: Allah is whose remembrance is not forgotten, whose light is not extinguished, whose bounties are countless, whose grandeur is perpetual, whose praise is measureless, whose glory is not confined, whose perfection cannot be comprehended, whose order is not rejected, whose attributes do not change, and whose attributes do not alter.
72: Allah is the lord of all the worlds, the master of the day of judgement, the ultimate goal of the seeker, the refuge of the shelter seeker, the overtaker of the fugitive, who loves the patient one, who loves the repentant, who loves the pure, who loves the virtuous, and who knows the guided.
73: Allah is the affectionate, the companion, the protector, the encompasser, the provider of sustenance, the aider of seekers of aid, the honourer, the humiliating, and the starter of creation and retuner.
74: Allah is he who is single and without opposite, who is unique, who is peerless, who is independent and without any defect, who is without changing state, who judges without injustice, who is the lord cherisher, who is mighty without disgrace, who is independent without any need, who is the king without any censure, and whose attributes are matchless.
75: Allah is the whose remembrance is an honour for those who remember him, whose gratitude is success for the grateful, whose praise is the pride of the praiser, the obedience to whom is salvation for the obedient, whose door is open to the seeker, the path leading to whom is clear for the repentant, whose signs are proofs for the observers, whose book is advice to the pious, whose provision is for the obedient and disobedient alike, and whose mercy is close to the virtuous.
76: Allah is whose name is glorious, whose honour is exalted, who there is no deity except him, whose names are sacred, whose existence is eternal, whose glory is his ornament, whose greatness is his covering, whose favours are countless, and whose bounties cannot be enumerated.
77: Allah is the helper, the trustworthy, the manifest, the powerful, the firm, the true guide, the praiseworthy, the glorious, the strong, and the witness.
78: Allah is the lord of the glorious throne, whose words are right. The master of great deeds, whose punishment is severe. The master of promise and threat, who is the guardian and the most praised, who is the mighty doer of whatever he wills, who is near and not far, who is witness to everything, and who does not mistreat his servants.
79: Allah is who has no partner and no adviser, who has no equivalent and no match, the creator of the sun and the bright moon, the enricher of the poverty stricken, the provider of sustenance to small children, the merciful to the aged ones, the joiner of broken bones, the protector of the frightened shelter seekers, who is all-aware and all-seeing of his servants, and who is powerful over everything.
80: Allah is the master of generosity and the bestower of the bounties, the gracious and magnanimous, the creator of the tablet and the pen, the inflictor of punishment and retaliator, the inspirer of arabs and non-arabs, the expeller of pain and grief, who knows the secrets and the mysteries, the lord of the kaaba and the sacred precinct, and who has created everything out of nothingness.
81: Allah is the doer, the creator, the acceptor, the perfect, the gracious, the separator, the just, the dominant, the seeker, and the generous.
82: Allah is who graciously bestows his bounties on us, who honours us with his charity, who rewards us out of his beneficing, who makes us respectable with his might, who predestines with his wisdom, who judges with his planning, who decrees with his knowledge, who is forbearing with his forbearance, who is near us in spite of his exaltation, and who is exalted despite his nearness.
83: Allah is who creates whatever he wishes, who does whatever he wishes, who guides whomever he wishes, who leaves astray whomever he wishes, who punishes whomever he wishes, who forgives whomever he wishes, who honors whomever he wishes, who dishonors whomever he wishes, who fashions in the womb as he wishes, and who chooses for his mercy whoever he wishes.
84: Allah is who has neither wife nor child, who creates everything in a fixed measure, who has no partner in his rule, who appointed angels as messengers, who made constellations in the heaven, who made the earth a place of abode, who created man from water, who fixed a period of time for everything, whose knowledge encompasses everything, and who knows the number and quantity of everything.
85: Allah is the first, the last, the manifest, the hidden, the virtuous, the right, the unique, the independent, and the eternal
86: Allah is the best recognized of all the recognized, the best of all to be worshipped, the greatest of those to whom thanks are due, the most remembered of all who are remembered, the most praiseworthy of all those who are praised, the eternal existent who is sought, the highest of those who are praised, the greatest of the purposes which are striven for, the most liberal giver who is requested, and the noblest friend who is known.
87: Allah is the friend of those who weep, the refuge of those who trust in him, the guide of the misguided, the master of the faithful, the friend of worshippers, the shelter of the sorrowful, the redeemer of the truthful, the mightiest of all, and the most knowledgeable of all beings.
88: Allah is who is high and dominant, who is masterful and powerful, who is hidden and aware, who is worshipped and who appreciates, who is disobeyed and yet forgives, whom thought cannot encompass, whom eyes cannot see, from whom nothing is concealed, the provider of sustenance to mankind, and who ordained all destinies.
89: Allah is the protector, the maker, the creator, the all-generous, the revealer, the victorious, the discloser, the guarantor, the commander, and the prohibiter.
90: Allah is who besides whom no one knows the secrets, besides whom no one drives away calamities, besides whom no one creates, besides whom no one forgives sins, besides whom no one perfects the bounties, besides whom no one transforms hearts, besides whom no one manages affairs, besides whom no one holds the reins, besides whom no one increases sustenance, and besides whom no one revives the dead.
91: Allah is the helper of the weak, the companion of the strangers, the helper of [his] friends, the overpowerer of the enemies, the elevator of the sky, the genial to the chosen ones, the friend of the pious, the treasure of the indigent, the lord of the rich, and the most benign of all.
92: Allah is the who is self-sufficient from everything, who is established over everything, who nothing is like him, who nothing extends his kingdom, from whom nothing is hidden, who nothing decreases his treasure, who nothing is like unto him, whose knowledge encompasses everything, who is all-aware, and whose mercy extends to everything.
93: Allah is the generous, the provider, the bestower of bounties, the bestower of gifts, the enricher, the giver of shelter, the destroyer, the quickener, the satisfier, and who grants salvation,
94: Allah is the first and the last, the lord of everything and its master, the lord cherisher of everything and its fashioner, the creator of everything and its maker, the controller of everything and its extender, the origin of everything and its return, the originator of everything and its estimator, the creator of everything and its destroyer, the quickener of everything and maker of its death, and the author of everything and its inheritor.
95: Allah is the best rememberer and remembered, the best appreciator and appreciated, the best praiser and praised, the best witness and witnessed, the best inviter and invited, the best responder and responded, the best comforter and counselor, the best friend and companion, the most desired and sought, and the most affectionate and loved.
96: Allah is the answerer to him who calls him, the friend of him who obeys him, who is close to him who loves him, the protector of one who seeks protection, who is generous to him who is hopeful of him, who is forbearing to one who disobeys him, who is merciful in spite of his grandeur, who is great in his wisdom, who is eternal in his benevolence, and who is aware of one who seeks him.
97: Allah is the primal cause, the creator of desire, the changer, the inflictor, the organizer, the terrifier, the saver, the reminder, the subjector, and the displacer.
98: Allah is whose knowledge is eternal, whose promise is true, whose benignity is manifest, whose command is overruling, whose book is clear and final, whose judgement is inevitable, whose qur'an is glorious, whose rule is eternal, whose favour is common to all, and whose throne is great.
99: Allah is the forbearing who does not make haste, the generous who is never a miser, the true who never breaks the promise, the munificent who never regrets, the dominant who is never overpowered, the great who is indescribable, the just who is never oppressive, the bounteous who is never rapacious, the great who does not become small, and the protector who does not neglect.
